You’ve Tried to
Stop Before

You may still be working, showing up and telling yourself you can get this under control. But privately, you know alcohol or drugs are taking more from your life than you are prepared to lose.

  • You make rules about when, how much or how often, then keep breaking them.
  • It is getting harder to protect your relationships, work, health or sense of who you are.
  • More of your time is spent using, recovering, hiding what happened and trying to repair the damage.
  • You want to stop, but the idea of life without it still feels almost impossible.

You do not need to know exactly what recovery will look like or make promises about the rest of your life. You only need to be honest about what is happening now. A confidential conversation can help you understand what comes next.

Recovery Starts with
the Right Foundation

Foundations is a private, luxury drug and alcohol rehab in Bali for people who need more than another attempt to stop on their own. We combine personalised addiction treatment with practical recovery tools, movement, connection and experiences that help you begin enjoying life without alcohol or drugs.

We take the time to understand what is happening in your life and shape your residential rehab programme around your health, history and what will give you the strongest foundation for long-term recovery.

Here, you can step away from the pressure and damage, begin to feel stronger and see that life can become bigger again.

What former residents say

★★★★★
I had an amazing experience at Foundations Bali. James and Patrick created a place where I felt safe, looked after and loved. I was able to step away from my hectic life and focus on what was really important: my health and wellbeing. They supported me in all aspects of life and made a really hard time much more manageable.

Life Does Not Stop When Recovery Begins

Recovery should help you understand what keeps pulling you back and build a life you no longer need to escape from.

Our residential programme combines counselling, group therapy and practical recovery tools with movement, connection and experiences throughout Bali, from yoga and breathwork to surfing and temple visits. Activities are chosen around your group, giving you space to move, explore and discover that life without alcohol or drugs can still feel full.

You leave stronger, clearer and better prepared for the life that comes next.

Personalised Addiction
Treatment, Built Around You

Foundations combines private residential care, medically supported detox where needed, personalised therapy and meaningful life outside the treatment room, all within one private programme in Bali.

Some people need a medically supported detox. Others have already stopped but know they cannot maintain recovery alone. Many are also dealing with anxiety, depression or trauma alongside addiction.

Our addiction treatment in Bali is built around your health, history, withdrawal risks and what has made it difficult to stay stopped before. Your progress is closely understood and your support evolves with you.

View all FAQs
How do I know if I really need rehab?+

You do not need to wait until you have lost everything. If you repeatedly try to control or stop your alcohol or drug use, hide how much you are using, experience withdrawal symptoms or find that it is affecting your relationships, work, health or mental wellbeing, it is worth having a confidential conversation.

Does Foundations treat both alcohol and drug addiction?+

Yes. Foundations provides private residential treatment for alcohol addiction, drug addiction and related mental health concerns. Your programme is personalised around the substances involved, your health, withdrawal risks and the support you need to maintain recovery.

How much does rehab at Foundations Bali cost?+

Residential treatment starts from USD 15,000 per 28 days. A seven-day medical detox is USD 7,000. We explain the full recommended programme and costs clearly before you decide.

How long is the residential programme?+

Programmes are commonly 30, 60 or 90 days. The right length depends on your circumstances, clinical needs, progress and the support you will have after leaving Bali.

Do you provide medical detox?+

A seven-day medical detox may be available following assessment. Because withdrawal risks vary by substance and health history, we first determine whether Foundations or a hospital setting is the safest place to begin.

Is treatment private and confidential?+

Yes. Every resident has a private en-suite room and the residence’s exact address is protected. Enquiries and treatment information are handled confidentially.

Is rehab in Bali safe?+

Yes. Foundations is a licensed private facility with 24-hour on-site care, medical and psychiatric support, and Australian-registered clinical oversight. Many residents travel from Australia and other countries specifically because Bali offers private, high-quality treatment away from home — without the visibility of rehab closer to home.

What makes Foundations different from other Bali rehabs?+

Foundations remains deliberately small, allowing us to understand each resident properly and adapt their care as they progress. Treatment combines clinical support, counselling and practical recovery work with movement, connection and experiences throughout Bali, helping you prepare for a life you genuinely want to return to.

Can I travel from Australia for treatment?+

Yes. Many residents travel from Australia. We can explain admission timing, what to arrange before you fly and how eligible Australians may be able to apply to use superannuation for treatment.

What happens when I first contact Foundations?+

You will have a private, no-pressure conversation with someone who understands addiction. We will listen, ask about what is happening, answer your questions and help you understand the safest next step.
